On the 100th anniversary of the introduction of conscription, we’re holding a practical workshop to explore and discuss the consequences of the Act in Hertfordshire. Discover original archives which reveal the stories of those who for political, moral or religious reasons would not go to war.

The workshop costs £10.00 per person and is taking place on Saturday 11 June from 10am-12.30pm at the Hertfordshire Archives and Local Studies centre in Hertford.
