Wheathampstead History Society has been awarded a grant under the Heritage Lottery Fund’s ‘First World War Then and Now’ scheme to research the story of everyday life in this Hertfordshire village during the war and the immediate aftermath.
As part of that project they are holding an exhibition over the two days of the Armistice weekend, 10th and 11th November 2018, to share what they have been finding and invite those with an interest in this part of the world to share their own stories. Everybody is welcome at this event to be held in the Wheathampstead Memorial Hall, AL4 8AY.
