The final deadline for First World War: Then and Now applications is 18 January 2019 with final decisions taking place in March 2019. This accommodates the eight weeks maximum it takes to assess applications. The deadline is on the FWW: Then and Now web page under ‘When you need to apply’.

HLF will still be funding First World War heritage from 2019 onwards through their open programmes. These applications will be in competition with other types of heritage projects. HLF will begin a new, five-year Strategic Funding Framework in January 2019. This will set out how they will distribute National Lottery good causes money to heritage. They will publish some information about grant thresholds and timescales later this year.
