A Taste of the Home Front – Arundel Museum

A team of volunteers from Arundel Museum have been researching the story of food in this West Sussex town during the First World War. There will be an opportunity to see what they have discovered at an exhibition to be held at the museum, from 14th-27th May. In addition, two members of the project, John and Rita Godfrey, will be giving a talk on food and food availability on the evening of 14th May, and on 15th May there will be demonstrations of just what sort of food local people were cooking, with a chance to taste the results. For more information on how this project developed see https://everydaylivesinwar.herts.ac.uk/?p=1222 . For more details of the exhibition and talks see http://www.arundelmuseum.org/
