England:

Free Networking Workshop

The University of Leeds

4th June

3-6.30pm

Refreshments Provided

This workshop will be a chance for anyone interested in understanding more about the history of opposition to the First World War to meet like-minded people and find out what others are doing.  Whether you have been working on a project for a while or have an idea for something you would like to investigate, come along to the University and talk about how we can support your project.  Creative responses are also welcome alongside local history projects and reflections on how opposition to the war have been commemorated during the centenary so far.

There is no charge for the event, and coffee, tea and snacks will be provided.

There will also be the chance to apply for funding to attend the “Commemoration, Conflict & Conscience” Festival in Bristol on 27 and 28 April 2019 where you can share your own findings and learn what groups from across the UK have discovered about opposition to war in their local area.

Advice about completing funding applications will also be given.

If you would like to attend, please email Corinne Painter c.j.painter@leeds.ac.uk

If you’re not able to join us for the full event, please feel free to drop in when you can and spread the word about the workshop, or get in touch with us and let us know about your project.
